Great photos turn into great pet portraits. The image of Grace above shows a lot of coat texture, the eyes are expressive, everything about this photograph is just perfect. I probably could have erased the wooden pole, but I sort of liked it.

ReplyDeleteI kind of like the wooden beam, myself. In the original photo, the beams in both foreground and background box in Grace's head, which really doesn't work -- but keeping only the beam in the foreground bisects the picture, dividing it not-quite-evenly into abstract and representational halves, playing with the idea of symmetry. Very cool result.
