Contest/ Win a Free Print From My Etsy Shop

This morning I am sitting in the dark with only 90% power on my laptop then when it plays out I will be really in the dark. We woke at 5:00 a.m. to no power. The snow has damaged some power lines I guess.

I figure what better thing to do than have a contest on my blog.  Leave a comment here ... say hi, tell me what you would do to stay warm and your comment enters you in the drawing for a free print from my Etsy Shop. Choose from reproduction prints of posing pugs, handsome labs, sweet kitties, wylie westies, sweet scotties, beautiful bulldogs and more. We even have octopus prints. This last month we have been working hard to update the shop and we have more than 100 items for sale.

THE DETAILS:  The drawing is for either an 8 x 10 or 5 x 7 print from my Etsy shop. Value of $24.99 or less. This does not include custom work. I will draw on Monday and post the results here. You have to check back on Monday to claim your prize! You can leave a  comment from now until Sunday evening.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay warm everyone and have a great Valentines day.

I go under the pillows on the couch and if my masters are there I seat between them.

I take a hot bubble bath and then get into my fleece robe and socks and snuggle with my kitties and sip a cup of cocoa.

I just found you this week and I love your work.

I stay warm, but I go outside! We have about 18 inches of snow! I put on my warm stuff and head out with Sophie (white shep-mix) and Luna (black Pomeranian). Both dogs are "rescues" and they enjoy the good life in my home. It's a bright, sunny, and cold day... but you can still go out and play. :-D sharkriver82

A blanket and... ice cream?

It's been cold here for too long. I've given up on staying warm.

Hope you're enjoying the snow! We got about 2 inches here in Boston, and it's already melted. Dunno why it melted, since it's always below freezing outside.

I snuggle with my Doxie in a big chair next to a roaring wood fire in my wood burning stove and pretend I am Laura Ingalls. - Moira

How fun! Hmm...I can't beat Moira's stay-warm solution. I'm a sucker ofr a Little House on the Prairie reference! Let's see, I've been making a lot of soup from scratch lately. Like, a LOT! Hope your power was restored before your laptop ran out of juice!

To keep warm, two pair of socks and a bulky wool sweater. A cuddly schnauzer is a big help too.

Happy valentines day. Love your work.

Found you through Manon's blog.

It appears even without power you're determined to keep busy!

Go you!

Hey Girl-
Sorry to hear about your power. You and your family are welcome to stay with us anytime. That's the best way I know of to stay warm.

Infusions of coffee always warm me up! Glad to read this morning that your power has been restored. It is rather eye opening when I realize just how accustomed to power and conveniences (and the tv!) that we are, often thrown into panic when we lose power...especially in the super cold or super hot months!

I have 4 Chinese Crested dogs that get cold easily, even though we live in Florida. They love to snuggle in blankets on the couch. They certainly help to keep me warm.

Up here in New England losing power is a way of life, but for me it's an opportunity to snuggle in bed with my three dogs. We all have our places, Sheba curls up against my chest with my arm around her, Suki drapes herself over my feet and Shorty curls up against my back. My own version of a "Three Dog Night". Gotta love New England winters, I know my dogs do!

Don't know if I'm too late, but...

My mom got me a t-shirt that says "A book in my hand, a dog by my side, we belong together." That is how I keep warm...I snuggle under a blankie on the couch, and one or two of my dogs rests on me wherever they fit.
