Pixel With Flowers

I'm sort of tired today due to last night's 3:00 a.m. drama. Looking forward to turning in early tonight and sleeping in a pile with the dogs. Sleeping in a pile ... that is one of our new favorite phrases from the movie " Where The Wild Things Are" .

Everyone have a great weekend. Next week we will have a guest blogger and I am eager to mix things up on the blog.

Hey Rebecca, so sorry to hear about pixel..... my Yorkie started having seizures out of nowhere at the age of 3, the whole family were very distressed every time. I think though that the pups come out OK at the other end. some lasted longer than others. he would come and sit on my feet before he had one. we figured that out after a while... poor puppy. He did go on medication to stop them , but i want to say they stopped after a while too. I stopped giving him the medication and he still hasn't had one. I told my vet and he said, that can happen .... so we'll our fingers crossed for poor pixel... who's feeling very loved right now, I'm sure.

I really like her vivid colors. Have you had the seizures checked out by a vet? Just wondering. I'm an RVT and I know if they get worse there could be several options for meds she could take. Good luck! Love your art.

Hi Stacey, Yep the first time it happened I rushed her to the vet, and he gave me some heavy duty meds to use in the event that they repeat or get worse. I want to avoid the barbs if we can. The seizures are so scary when they happen, but are over quickly and the main thing they said is to keep her safe and try to help calm her during & after.

Thanks Rose!
And thanks to the Yorkie's Mom for her share. Yes we are hoping they go away with time.

This is a gorgeous painting of a gorgeous pup. My very first dog had seizures his whole life, and he lived to about 14. Seriously, I used to call the police (many, many times they came to the house looking for the 'man with the seizure' and I'd sob "He's under the table!" Finally they said they would not come anymore, they only came for 'human calls'.... ;) They are so hard to watch. May your girl have few of them, and a long healthy life with you!
